"Selfie" Layout by Valia Katzaki

Hello crafty friends!

Today I would like to show you another layout that hopefully will inspire you to create with your beloved Dusty Attic products! I used my new addiction in papers and blooms, 49 and Market and of course my Dusty Attic chippies are the center of my layout design! I always enjoy high-quality products!

Once again I used my much loved 49 and Market "Vintage Artistry" collection. I love its muted greish beige color so so much!!! This time I paired it with luscious greens for a rustic effect. I rotated the “Tattered” paper 90 degrees to the right to match the design of my layout and I used elements from the “Ephemera cut out sheet” as layers under my photo. I also cut out a fern from the “Flora and Fauna cut out sheet” to enhance my flower cluster. I layered my flowers between the paper cut outs for extra visual interest. Ι also unthreaded some of the burlap ribbon and tucked it under my flower clusters for extra texture.I used the Dusty Attic Corner Swirl #1 to form a diagonial axis on my page and then I layered papers and blooms on the top right corner for a striking, eye-catching effect.

Of course my gorgeous niece's selfie helps a lot! ;)

The Selfie title was colored with Shimmerz ArtieChoked texturez paste and the bottom part of it was painted with a mix of Dusty in Color Shoot and Hot Chocolate.

The lattice background was dabbed with Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Field Greens.

The corner swirls were painted with two different mists from Lindy's Stamp Gang and 13 Arts.

Snapshot - Dusty Attic & Scraps n Pieces August moodboard inspiration

Hello crafty friends!

I am here today to share my interpration of this month's Dusty Attic moodboard as well our bimonthly challenge at Scraps n Pieces

Some close ups

The flowers were misted with Tattered Angels Iridiscent Gold mist for extra sparkle. The Swirly Vine was painted with Mountain Meadow, Oceania and Faded Denim, and on top of that with a mixture of mica powder, gel medium and glass microspheres for extra texture.

The swirly vine was misted with Lindy's Stamp Gang mist

With this layout I would like to participate to 7 dots studio challenge - Favorite Quote

"Go now, run wild, barefoot and free" a hippie quote I love so much... It allows me to dream now I cannot run wild anymore and remember the times I run free in the past... i.e. before three kids lol
The paper I used is from the Fortune Teller Collection.

Here is the inspirational moodboard from 7 dots

In addition, I would like to participate in the Canvas Corp July collection with my summer photo and summer mood.

Best friends - Mini album for Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo

Hello friends!

August is here, the hottest month of the year here in Greece and a brand new challenge for us at Scrapki-Wyzwaniowo

Meadow Flowers

I made a mini album in the shape of a tag holder to hold photos of my daughter and her best friend, using the Homegrown Collection and Tattered Angels mists. I used Dusty Attic chipboard that complimented my Meadow plants theme as well as Prima Flowers.

All three tag holders.

Some close ups.
I wish I could show you the inside tags but I cannot post online photos of children other than mine.

As always there are many prizes to be won! Cant wait to see your creations!

Memories Documented - Layout for More than Words August challenge

Hello crafty friends!

August is here and a new challenge for More than Words

Word Inspiration - FRIENDS
Creative Challenge - CIRCLES

Use the word FRIENDS as inspiration for your project. You can choose to add the word somewhere on your project or simply be inspired to create from it. Please explain in your blog post how the word inspired you, if not already obvious.

We thought that the word "friends" would go perfectly with a CIRCLES challenge! "Circle of friends", "Friendship circle", get it? So, we want to see circles on your project, as many as you want, however you want. Round and round, until we get dizzy with creativity!
The very first thought that comes to my mind with the word FRIENDS are my sons, who are not only brothers but also best friends. They fulfil each other and even though they fight pretty much all the time, they can't be apart. For the creative part of the challenge, I used a circular stencil with Finnabair rust paste, Prima Marketing flowers, an IOD flair button and a round Prima Memory Hardware knob. All mists are Lindy's.

There are soooo many prizes up for grabs, come and play!
